We advise you to have maths, science and mathematics. English is compulsory.

WHAT LEVEL (PASS MARK) IS REQUIRED TO QUALIFY TO TRAIN AS A PILOT
Most Aviation schools in SA are not SAQA approved. Therefore we don’t usually recognise NQF Levels.

I AM 45 YEARS OLD, AM I TOO OLD TO START TRAINING AS A PILOT?
It’s never too late. As long as you’ve passed your aviation medical examination.

DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM TO BECOME A PILOT?
No. It’s always an advantage though.

HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?
We give you a year to complete your PPL, however it can certainly be done in less time. Same with CPL.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO START FLYING?
You can get an SPL from the age of 16 years old.

DO WE TRAIN ON SIMULATORS OR REAL AEROPLANES?
On both, at different stages of your training.

WHAT DOES THE AVIATION MEDICAL EXAMINATION ENTAIL?
It’s a very basic medical examination, which will also incorporate fitness, lung function and eye test (amongst others).

CAN I START WORKING WITH A PPL?
No

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS?
Most important is a study permit.
