Samba XL

The Samba XL is a 2 seater trainer. It is a popular trainer mostly due to the fact that it is very affordable due to it being made of composite materials and having a 100hp Rotax engine. It also has an advanced cockpit with an electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) and this makes it well-liked among the younger students. The Samba is a good stepping stone to move on to other aircraft as it establishes a sound flying foundation for students.

The Piper Cherokee 180 is widely considered the “Old Faithful” of training aircraft and is one of the world’s most used for this purpose due to its reliability and ease to fly. It is a 4 seater aircraft fitted with a 180hp Lycoming engine. It’s well equipped with ILS, VOR and ADF which makes it brilliant for Instrument training. The Cherokee is used for ab-initio as well as advanced training and night ratings. It is also a great touring aircraft for 2 – 3 people with luggage, and is equipped with an autopilot which is useful on longer flights.

Cessna 152

The Cessna 152 is famous for its flying ability as both the training and private sectors. It is a superior aircraft to negotiate short and rough landing strips with its high wings, tough landing gear and great weight to power ratio, as well as being a low cost alternative to our Piper 180 and Cessna 172. It is world renown as one of the easiest aircraft to fly. This is an aircraft that can easily take off with 2 people on board. The 152 can be used for ab-initio training, navigation flights or night flying. In its short service time with Paramount Aviation, this aircraft has quickly become a student favorite.

Cessna 172

The Cessna 172 has achieved a world wide status as one of the best training aircraft ever, due to its ability to function both as a PPL trainer and for use during Instrument training. It is a larger aircraft than the 152, able to carry 4 people, and negotiate short and rough landing strips with its tough landing gear, high wing design and great power ratio. It is a very forgiving aircraft and this has led to the 172 becoming one of the most comonly used aircraft in training enviroments. The 172 can be used for ab-initio training, navigation flights, night flying and Instrument training. This is Paramount Aviations latest fleet addition.
